About the photographer

A trained artist with a heart for family memories.

Karianne Fisher brings a photographer's eye and an artist's care to every archive. She earned her B.A. in Studio Art from Augsburg College, with an emphasis in photography, and also studied at the University of Oslo. Her professional background includes studio photography for Lifetouch, where she worked closely with children and families, as well as on-mountain photography for Vail Resorts, capturing portraits and action images for guests in every kind of light and season.

Just as important, Kari understands the emotional side of the work. With a large crew of nieces and nephews, she knows how quickly artwork, school projects, and tiny paper treasures can fill a home. Artfully Archived grew from that familiar tension: wanting to honor the memories without keeping every bin, folder, and countertop overflowing.
